114 Childhood Emergency and the Ministry of Education, University and Research promote an information campaign to acquaint the scholastic field with the emergency number 114. The aim is to make both students and teachers aware of the service, so that they can report situations of danger or emergency that involve children and adolescents; these situations are managed by 114 Childhood Emergency in a logic of collaboration and coordination with the network of territorial institutions. A similar relevance and diffusion is given to the service that allows to report illicit and illegal contents present in the media (internet, press, television and radio) that cause discomfort to children and young people. This service is available, also in an anonymous way, through the web-site www.114.it. The information campaign on the service 114 Childhood Emergency will be presented at Docet 2005, the didactics festival (Bologna, 14-17 April 2005), at Civitas, where the worlds of volunteering and social action meet (Padova, 5-8 May 2005), and at the Forum P.A. (Rome), important event in the area of public administration and service innovation.

REGION LAZIO,PROVINCE AND COUNCIL OF ROME, JUVENILE PENAL COURT AND THE PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

114 Childhood Emergency and all the institutions of the region, the Prefecture of Rome, the Region Lazio, the Province and Council of Rome, the Juvenile Penal Court and the Public Prosecutor’s Office together to discuss the procedures activated to manage emergency situations that involve children and adolescents. The meeting, which took place in the premises of the Prefecture of Rome the 5th of March 2005, aimed to set up a method of collaboration – so as to put into action the agreement already signed with the Ministry of Internal Affaires - for a timely exchange of information, a real time counselling, a comparison in the search for methods of intervention suitable for each single case, according to the respective professional competences.

114 Childhood Emergency and Ministry of Internal Affairs the 22nd of September 2004 signed an agreement to strengthen the network of protection around children and adolescents who are in danger. The objective is to promote a closer collaboration among the institutional agents and the new 114 emergency service for a) a timely exchange of information; 2) a real-time counselling 3) a comparison in the search for methods of intervention suitable for every single case, according to the respective competences and institutional mandates. The prefectures – territorial offices of the government will be the base of agreement for specific projects with the local institutions, uniting the need for safety and safeguard, with the inter-institutional collaboration and the involvement of all the privet and public subjects.

REGION LOMBARDY

|
114 Childhood Emergency and the Region Lombardy the 23rd of December 2004 signed a convention to facilitate the spread of the service 114 Childhood Emergency on the whole Lombard territory. The initiative was signed by the Region Lombardy and accepted by the Councillorship for the family and social solidarity of the Region Lombardy in the field of social politics and regional strategies for the safeguard of minors; it doesn’t imply financial burdens but facilitates the collaboration between the 114 telephone emergency line, available 24 hours a day, and the social and health facilities of the territory, in order to intervene for the safeguard of children and adolescents in situations of danger.
